Pomegranate-Lavender Fizz
Ingredients
2 oz Pomegranate Juice
3/4 tsp Dried Lavender or 1 1/2 tsp Fresh Lavender
1 cup Crushed Ice or 4 Medium Ice Cubes
1 tbsp Fresh Pomegranate Seeds
4 oz Waterloo Lemon-Lime Sparkling Water
1 oz Plain Whole Milk Kefir
Fresh Lemon Slice
Fresh Lavender
Directions
1. Heat pomegranate juice and lavender in a small saucepan over high heat until boiling. Remove the pan from the heat and let the lavender steep for 5 minutes. Strain through a fine mesh strainer and cool completely, about 5 minutes.
2. Add ice to an 8 oz Collins glass. Add the cooled lavender pomegranate juice and pomegranate seeds to the glass. Pour the sparkling water on top of the juice. Using the back of a cocktail spoon, gently pour the kefir on top to create a layer on top. Garnish with lemon slice and fresh lavender.
Mixologist Tips
For a sweeter taste, add 2 tsp of sweetener to the pomegranate juice.
For a cocktail, add 1 ½ oz gin or sparkling wine like prosecco.
